RETURNING TO MY ROOTS...FINALLY

Well dear ladies
 This is it....
no more colours.....
no more hairdryer...
no more heated brush...
just mousse and a flick through with my fingers..........
just as nature intended......

And do you know I kind of like it.......showered, hair washed, make up on, ready and out in 20 minutes...

Anyhow in my last post I told you about Charlie's Iggle Piggle blanket and promised a peek if it wasn't a disaster...well it was only a small one so here he is.......

If you do any machine embroidery you will realise I should have used some soluble stabiliser over Iggle Piggle to stop the thread sinking so far into the fabric...it spoils the colour a bit as you can see tiny tufts of fleece showing through. My stippling around the edge to keep the fleece better attached to the lining also leaves a bit to be desired, but as this was a first attempt its not too bad. Need to check the tension next time.

I almost forgot the Ninky Nonk, not totally successful but recognisable anyway!!

All I have to do now is the blue blanket stitch around the edge which could take me some time. I don't think Charlie will be too critical though ...and it is snuggly!

  2. Your hair looks lovely Jenny .... wish I had a curl or two! I gave up the bottle last year and don't regret it .... mine is cropped short so a wash, rub with a towel and some spray gel and I'm ready to roll. Love the Iggle Piggle blanket x
